Dirty blonde is a natural, classic dark blonde, the one that just screams old money. The shampoo deposits a light honey brown tone, warm and soft, like autumn light. It's neither a cool blonde nor a platinum blonde.
On blonde to light brown hair, whether natural, coloured, bleached or highlighted. The lighter your base, the more the tone shows. On a dark brown base, the deposit won't be visible.
3 minutes, no more. On wet hair, shampoo once or twice, leave on for 3 minutes so the tone can settle in, then rinse thoroughly. A second round gives a more intense tone.

Yes, like any pigmenting product: it can stain fabrics and surfaces. Use it in the shower and rinse thoroughly, and avoid letting it drip onto a light-coloured towel. As with any coloured product, a patch test is recommended, and don't apply it to an irritated scalp.
