Balayage lightens fast, but you have to redo it, and it opens up the hair fibre. The spray works more slowly and doesn't damage it: you're trading speed for control.

Can it turn orange or brassy?
The spray lightens within your own tones, gradually. You're in control: you stop when you've got the shade you want. If your blonde is already turning yellow, a lightener isn't what you need, it's the anti-yellow shampoo, which neutralises the yellow.
Will it damage my hair?
