To your hair! How to protect your hair from the sun? - Omad's

Pioupiou's natural tricks

Hello Blondie,

Thank you so much for your feedback on our previous castor oil article. We're delighted that you're putting our advice into practice and seeing great results! If you missed that article, don't worry, you can find it here.

Today, we're going to talk about sun protection... but for your hair! The arrival of the sun and summer temperatures is a pure pleasure, but our hair isn't necessarily so enthusiastic. The sun can dry out, weaken and even bleach your hair. So it's crucial to give it a little extra attention during these summer months. Here are our tips for protecting your hair from the sun.

1. The hat: your best ally

Not only is a hat the must-have fashion accessory for summer, it's also a great way to protect your hair from the sun. It blocks harmful UV rays and prevents water evaporation, helping to keep your hair hydrated.

Our advice: Choose a hat made from natural materials like cotton or straw, which allow your hair to breathe while protecting it.

2. Moisturizing: the key to healthy hair

Moisturization is essential to maintain the health of your hair, especially during the summer. Drink plenty of water and don't forget to apply moisturizing masks regularly. You can even add a few drops of avocado or jojoba oil to your mask for maximum hydration.

Our advice: After each wash, rinse your hair with cold water. Cold water closes hair cuticles and helps retain moisture.

3. Brush your hair regularly

Brushing your hair regularly helps distribute the natural oils throughout the length of your hair and prevents tangles from forming.

Our tip: Use a boar bristle brush for gentle, effective brushing that won't damage your hair. Don't forget to use our code "BROSSE10" for a 10% discount on our brush.

4. Avoid hot tools

Heating appliances, while very practical, can dry out your hair and make it more sensitive to the effects of the sun.

Our advice: If you can't do without your hair dryer, use it at low temperature and always with a heat protector.

Moisturize your hair with natural products

Just like your skin, your hair needs to be moisturized, especially when exposed to the sun. Fortunately, nature offers us everything we need for this. Natural oils, such as coconut oil, avocado oil or olive oil, are excellent options for deeply moisturizing your hair. If you've missed our previous articles where we share lots of hair moisturizing tips, no worries, they're still available [here](link to previous articles).

Our advice: We may be a bit greedy, but we think our PiouPiou oil is the best! It's 100% natural and specially formulated to nourish and moisturize your hair. Discover it right here:
