PART 1: THE PROBLEM OF SALON MECHANISMS

The math is simple:

🔬 WHAT WE DON'T TELL YOU IN THE SALON
Sweeps use an aggressive chemical cocktail that has NOTHING TO DO WITH OMAD'S spray.
Here's what REALLY happens to your hair in the salon:
1. AMMONIA FORCES OPENING
Ammonia (or its alternatives MEA, ethanolamine) raises the pH to 10-11 (ultra-alkaline). At this pH, cuticle scales lift violently.

🔄THE INFERNAL CYCLE
Month 1:Beautiful sweep. You're thrilled.

💡HOW DOES IT REALLY WORK?
The simplified mechanism:
1. APPLICATION
The spray gently penetrates the hair cuticle (the outer layer), naturally, without forcing.
2. GENTLE PROGRESSIVE OXIDATION
The stabilized 5% peroxide gradually transforms the melanin (pigments) in your hair. Dark pigments (eumelanin) gradually break down, revealing the lighter tones beneath.
3. HEAT ACTIVATION
The heat of the hairdryer slightly accelerates the process WITHOUT assaulting. It's a gentle, controlled, respectful activation.
4. FLOWER PROTECTION
Throughout this process, chamomile and cornflower protect, soothe, and steer tones toward OMAD'S signature luminous gold.
PART 3: THE STEP BY STEP TECHNIQUE
🎒EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
You need:
- ✅OMAD'S Lightening Spray
- ✅OMAD'S Wick Comb (or a classic tail comb)
- ✅Hair clips (to separate sections)
- ✅Hair dryer
- ✅A mirror (ideally 2 to see the back)
- ✅A towel over your shoulders (optional but handy!)
⏱️TOTAL TIME: 5 to 15 minutes
(depending on how many highlights you want to do)
📋STEP 1: PREPARATION
Dry or wet hair?
Always on DRY hair
Why? Because:
- → Wet hair is swollen with water, the spray penetrates less well
- → On dry hair, the spray adheres better and acts more effectively
- → You see exactly where you're applying (no surprises after drying!)
Clean or dirty hair?
EVERYTHING!"
You can apply the spray to freshly washed hair or 2-3-day-old hair. Both work perfectly
Tangle your hair well
Brush your hair so it's smooth and tangle-free. It makes it easier to separate the strands.
📋 STEP 2: SEPARATE TIES
This is the most important step for a natural result!
🎯THE WOOD BRUSH TECHNIQUE:
1. Take a section of hair
Start at the top of your head. Take a section about 5 cm wide.
2. Use the wick comb
Insert the comb 5-10 cm from your roots (NEVER at the direct root, otherwise you'll get a "demarcated platinum roots" effect!).
3. Move the comb up to the tips
Keeping the comb flat, gently move upwards. The teeth of the comb will "prick" fine, irregular strands.
4. Leave the comb in place
Don't remove the comb! You'll spray the spray directly onto the strands that are "poked" by the comb.
💡PIOUPIOU'S TIP:
"Thin, spaced highlights = natural result. Thick, tight strands = artificial result. Choose finesse, always."
⚠️ GOLDEN RULE: NEVER AT THE ROOT
ALWAYS start 5-10 cm from your roots.
Pourquoi ?
- → A natural balayage is never uniform from root to tip
- → Highlights should have a "melted" and progressive effect
- → If you start too close to the roots, you'll have a visible demarcation line when your hair grows back
📋 STEP 3: APPLY SPRAY
APPLICATION TECHNIQUE:
1. Spray generously
With the comb still in place on your strands, spray OMAD'S Spray directly onto the hair "poked" by the comb.
Distance: 10-15 cm from the comb
Quantity: 3-5 pschitts per strand (depending on length)
2. Saturates strands well
Hair should be nice and damp (but not dripping). If you see it's too dry, add 1-2 pschitts.
3. Gently remove the comb
Once you've sprayed well, gently remove the comb. The strands will fall back naturally.
4. Repeat all over the head
Continue section by section: top of head → sides → back (if you like)
💡 HOW MANY MECHANICS DO YOU MAKE?
NATURAL/SUBTLE EFFECT:
- → 10-15 strands on top and contour of face
- → Fine, spaced strands
BALAYAGE EFFECT/MEDIUM:
- → 20-30 strands spread throughout the head
- → More strands on top, less on bottom
INTEGRAL/INTENSE WHITE EFFECT:
- → 40-50+ strands throughout
- → Wicks closer together and more numerous
📋 STEP 4: DRYING WITH A HAIR DRYER
Heat is your ally! It gently activates the spray and speeds up the lightening process.
DRYING TECHNIQUE:
1. Dries immediately after application
As soon as you've finished spraying all your strands, grab your blow dryer.
2. Medium to high heat
Use medium to high heat on your hairdryer (not lukewarm, we want it hot!).
3. Dry for 3-5 minutes
Pass the hair dryer over all treated strands. Move the hair dryer well to heat evenly.
4. Make sure it's completely dry
Your hair should be completely dry to the touch.
⏱️TOTAL DRYING TIME: 3-5 minutes
✅ ET VOILÀ, C'EST FINI !
You're done! You can style your hair normally.
You can now:
- ✅ Brush your hair normally
- ✅ Tie your hair back if you want
- ✅ Use your usual styling products
- ✅ Go to bed (no need to wait)
💛Zoé tip:The result won't be immediate! OMAD'S lightening is progressive. You'll see progress after 2-3 applications.
PART 4: VARIANT AND FREQUENCY
☀️ VARIATION: THE SUN METHOD (OPTIONAL)
If you prefer an even more natural activation, you can replace the hair dryer with the sun.
THE SUN TECHNIQUE:
1. Apply the spray exactly as described
Separate your strands with the comb, spray generously.
2. Go out and enjoy the sun
→ Stays on for 30-60 minutes in the sun
→ Lets the sun activate the spray naturally
This method is slower but gives an even more natural, gradual result.
⚠️CAUTION:Only do this on sunny days and ALWAYS with sun protection for your skin and face!
🗓️ RECOMMENDED APPLICATION FREQUENCY
To get your dream locks, here's the OMAD'S routine:
🗓️INSTALLATION PHASE (Months 1-2)
- → 2 to 3 applications per week
- → Continue until desired lightening is achieved
- → Results are visible as early as 2-3 weeks
- → Full effect revealed in 4-8 weeks

🎨 HOW TO CREATE DIFFERENT EFFECTS
"CALIFORNIAN BALAYAGE "EFFECT
- → Concentrates highlights on top of head and contour of face
- → More highlights on lengths and ends
- → Fewer strands underneath and at the back
"NATURAL SHADOW" EFFECT
- → Do highlights only from mid-length
- → Increase strand density towards the ends
- → The lower you go, the more you do
"INTEGRAL BLOND "EFFECT
- → Make highlights all over your head
- → Start closer to the roots (3-4 cm)
- → More frequent applications (3x/week)
🪞 TIP FOR THE BACK OF THE HEAD
Doing highlights at the back may seem complicated, but here's the trick:
- 1. Uses 2 mirrors (one fixed + one pocket mirror)
- 2. Or ask a friend/sister/mum to help you with the back
- 3. Or focus on the top and sides (that's what shows the most!)
💛Zoé tip:Many of our clients do highlights ONLY on the top and contour of the face. That's what you can see, and it's already magnificent!
🌈UNDERSTANDING TONE PROGRESSION
Your hair will go through different color phases before reaching the final golden blonde:
CHESTRAIN/BROWN HAIR:
Brown → Light brown → Chestnut → Dark golden → Golden → Golden blonde
DARK BLOND HAIR:
Dark blond → Medium blond → Light blond → Golden blond
HEAVENS ALREADY BLOND:
Blond → Luminous blonde → Bright golden blonde
💛 Note: With the vast majority of our customers, the progression is fluid and harmonious. If you notice temporary coppery highlights, the chamomile and cornflower extracts in the spray will naturally soften them towards golden tones. Just keep applying!
